Women's Track & Field Finishes Fourth at Southern Regional Championships

The Riverside City College women's track and field team continued action at the 3C2A Southern Regional Championships on Friday afternoon at San Diego Mesa College. The Tigers missed the podium by a handful of points. They accumulated 51 points leading to a fourth-place finish.

Mt. San Antonio placed first overall with 196 points, while Cerritos followed in second place with 144 points. San Diego Mesa followed in third-place with 723 points.

Alejandra Rosales paced the throwers as she hauled in a first-place mark in the Discus (147' 5"). She continued on to place second overall in the Shot Put (41' 10 ½").

Zoe Ewell led the charge in the sprints with a third-place finish in the 200 M (24.54) and fifth place finish in the 100 M (11.98). She continued on to run in the 1600 M Relay that placed third overall (4:00.16). She was joined by Miller, Quezada and Plumb.

Elani Huntley placed seventh overall in the 1500 M (4:52.51), while Dakota Zamarripa placed eighth in the 3000 M Steeplechase (12:40.03).
