Women's Track & Field Earns Quartet of Top Finishes at Redlands Invite

The Riverside City College women's track & field program hit the road on Friday to compete in the University of Redlands Invitational in the competitive confines of Ted Runner Stadium. The Tigers bagged four top-three finishes leading a strong showing.

Freshman Dakota Zamarripa earned the lone gold medal of the day by snapping the tape in the 5000 M (20:43.80). Freshman Lauren Valencia followed with her highest career finish in the 5000 M (21:07.33) to earn second place.

Sophomore Zoe Ewell held it down on the track per usual after earning a second-place mark in the 100 M (12.24) and a third-place showing in the 200 M (25.32).

Sophomore Elani Huntley placed sixth in the 1500 M (4:58.49), while sophomore Alejandra Rosales rounded out the top finishes with an eighth place showing in the Hammer (139').
