Men’s Golf Places Second at Victor Valley Invitational
The Riverside City College men's golf team hit the road to compete in the Victor Valley Invitational on Monday morning. The Tigers swung it well leading to a second place finish and a season-best score of 380.
Three Tigers landed in the low 70s highlighted by sophomore Kyle Hartford's team-low 72 even. Despite carding two bogies on the front nine, he cleaned up play to mark four birdies throughout his round; three coming on the back nine.
Freshman Cameron Hartling followed with a one-over 73 highlighted by a 36 on the back nine. His opening-hole birdie set the tone for the remainder of his round. He notched two birdies on the back nine leading to his score.
Riverside's top golfer, freshman Bingcheng Zheng, landed two-over at 74. He only tallied one birdie, but played relatively consistent golf leading to just three bogies. Freshman Ryan Osorio finished at 80, while freshman Aidan Forrest notched a team-high 83.
