Tigers Fend Off Vikings

Riverside City College hit the road for a nonconference matchup at Long Beach City College and held on for a 77-74 victory.

The Tigers improve to 4-2 on the year, while the Vikings drop to 1-2 overall.

Andre Skelin led three Tigers in double figures, posting 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, and grabbed 12 rebounds to help RCC dominate the glass 38-to-26. Christian Warren followed with 16 points (6-for-9), while Isaiah Williams chipped in 14 points (4-for-7).

Riverside held a 45-28 lead at the break, but LBCC battled back to make things interesting in the final minutes of action.

With three seconds on the clock and RCC up 75-73, a Viking drew a foul to get two chances at the charity stripe. He only made one of the two to put the game within one point and Long Beach fouled to try to get a chance at the ball.

Jayden Miller came up big with two free throws, securing the 77-74 victory for the visitors.

The Tigers remain on the road as they head to Glendale College next Saturday for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
