RIVERSIDE – Breaking a tie score with just less than three minutes left in the game, the host Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers men's basketball team outlasted the visiting Santa Ana College Dons, 73-69,
in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) game Wednesday evening at Wheelock Gymnasium.

Riverside City (19-6, 9-1 OEC) snapped a 63-all tie with 3:41 to play on a layin by freshman forward Anthony Rounds (Perris / Citrus Hill HS). About a minute later, Rounds drained a three-pointer with2:49 left to give RCC a 68-63 lead.

All told, there were nine ties and nine lead changes in the game.

Santa Ana (15-10, 5-6 OEC) made the score cosmetically close with a layin at the buzzer.

Four Tigers scored in double digits, paced by sophomore guard Mason Biddle (Riverside / Arlington HS) who had 13 points and a game-high eight assists. Freshman guard Kendall Schmidt (Moreno Valley / Rancho Verde HS) came off the bench and added 13 markers as well
