Tigers Gain Split; Defeat San Diego State, Lose to Grossmont Friday
SAN DIEGO -- Paced by the tandem play of sophomores Marissa Vialpando and Lauren Wells, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's beach volleyball team gained a split of its matches Friday (Mar. 3).
Riverside (1-3 overall) defeated the San Diego State University (SDSU) Aztecs, 4-1, but lost to the Grossmont College Griffins, 5-0.
Vialpando -- who is pictured -- and Wells combined to post a 21-16, 21-11 win against SDSU
Riverside will next be in action on Wednesday, Mar. 8, when it travels to face the San Diego Mesa College Olympians in a non-conference match beginning at 2 p.m.
