Bio

Terica Ned ran with the best sprinters during her Tiger track career. She also ran away from them. Tonight, Terica runs into the Riverside City College Athletic Hall of Fame after a career that saw her win five conference titles (two in the 100 meters, two in the 200 meters, and one in the 400 relay) and two individual state titles (100 and 200 meters).

She began her career at Riverside City College in 2000, winning the 100- and 200-meter events at the Orange Empire Conference Championship meet. Then love struck. She abandoned her track career and educational goals to become a mother and a wife, marrying former Tiger basketball player, Kaneen Pelt. In 2004, she resumed her track and educational careers and never missed a beat, winning the 100- and 200-meter conference titles as well as helping the 400-relay team to a conference title. Two weeks before graduating from RCC, Terica won two individual state titles.

Seven years later, she still holds the Orange Empire Conference record in the 100 meters (11.70) and the College record at 11.61. As a Tiger, she was a two-time All-American, and she holds five of the top eight fastest times in the 100 meters and the sixth-fastest time in the 200 meters.

In 2005, Terica took her talents to Cal State Los Angeles where her success in running away from the opposition continued, winning the conference title in the 200 meters and a second in the 100 meters at the CCAA Track Championships. She went on to take fifth in the 100 meters and sixth in the 200 meters at the NCAA

National Championship meet. She earned four All-American awards and was a four-time All-CCAA winner during her two-year career. She was third in the nation in the 200 meters and placed fifth in the nation in the 60-meter dash during her indoor career.
