Bio

Rachael Bermudez knows what it takes to succeed, both on the playing field and in life. The former Tigers softball standout is still scoring victories; however now she concentrates on the victories that help her patients achieve.

Bermudez is a licensed vocational nurse in Fort Worth, TX, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Putting forth 110% effort is something she perfected at RCC. In 2000 and 2001, she set career records in four different categories and still holds six top spots in career pitching stats.

Her sophomore season as a Tiger was a standout one. Playing for Head Coach Michelle Daddona, Bermudez led RCC to a third place Orange Conference finish and its first post-season play since 1987. She set single-season records for strikeouts with 322 and victories with 47. She was named the Orange Empire Conference Most Valuable Pitcher and selected to the All-State Team. Her pitching stats strike envy in the hearts of other players, just as her pitches evoked dread in opposing batters:

Rachael Bermudez played softball at RCC for the 2000 and 2001 seasons, achieving a record 322 strikeouts in her sophomore year. She was recognized as MVP of the Orange Empire Conference and named to the All-State Team. She holds the RCC record for pitching complete games, as well as five other career pitching categories.
