Bio

After serving in the United States Marines, Bob Geddes enrolled at Riverside City College. A track and field competitor at Riverside Poly High School, Geddes decided to give football a try despite being a three-time letterman in track and field and setting several league records in the pole vault.

Turned out to be a good decision.

As a defensive end, Geddes ended up earning a scholarship to UCLA. He went on to receive honorable mention All-American recognition in 1969 and was selected to the first team West Coast Team. Geddes, who graduated from UCLA with a degree in Political Science, was drafted in the 14th round (360th player selected) by the Los Angeles Rams in 1970. He played six years in the National Football League, three seasons each with the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. He played in 38 games, before injuries forced him to retire from the game.

For the last 40 years, Geddes has been a successful investor. His holdings included real estate projects, radio stations and marketing communication companies. Most notably, he created Avalon Attractions, which for over 30 years dominated the Southern California concert promotion and production business. He, along with other legendary promoters, is credited with creating today’s concert industry.

He also founded Eric Chandler Ltd., a premier merchandising company and the exclusive merchandise provider to the Olympics. Geddes also built, owned and operated Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, Orange County’s largest outdoor venue. His Avalon Entertainment Group oversaw fairs and festivals, and was the leading corporate entertainment and artist management company. TBA Global was considered a premier corporate events and marketing company.
