Maggie Aburto, Freshman, Outside Hitter

Aburto has been electric for the Tigers and a force on the outside. In September play, Aburto amassed 103 kills, 3.12 kills-per-set and a .213 hitting percentage. She has been just as effective on the defensive end with 85 digs, 2.58 digs-per-set and eight total blocks.

The freshman swinger has recorded at least six kills in each match throughout the month of September including six straight multi-kill games. She recorded a season-high 16 kills in a win over Cerro Coso backed by a 15-kill effort in the Tiger’s conference opening win against Santa Ana.

Furthermore, she has recorded at least three digs in 10 matches highlighted by a 19-dig effort in a loss to Saddleback.
