Women’s Track & Field Sees Strong Marks at Mt. SAC Relays

The Riverside City College women's track & field team participated in the Mt. Sac Relays on Saturday in Hilmer Lodge Stadium. The Tigers earned six podium finishes with five of the events landing them gold medals.

It was another strong showing for the throws squad led by the one and only Alejandra Rosales. As she has done for the majority of the season, she landed atop the field in the Shot Put (40' 4") and Discus (146' 8"). She continues to pace the state in the Shot Put and Discus.

Brianna Rodriguez strung together another strong showing with a first place finish in the 3000 M Steeplechase (12:07.38), backed by a first place mark from Brianna Olujoku in the 400 M (57.70).

Hailey Hunt had a strong day by snapping the tape in the 200 M (24.40) to earn a gold medal. Hunts time lands her second in the state by just over a tenth of a second.

She later teamed up with Zoe Ewell, Kayla Johnson and Olujoku to win the 4 x 100 M Relay (47.23). The squad sits second in the state as well.
