Men’s Track & Field Competes at Arnie Robinson Invitational

The Riverside City College men's track & field program traveled to San Diego, CA on Friday to compete in the Arnie Robinson Invitational hosted by San Diego Mesa College. The Tigers performed at a high level as seen in five top finishes and a total of 15 top-20 marks.

Leading the charge was sophomore Donal Aluesi. Per usual, he was atop the leader board in the Shot Put (53' 5.75") and the Discus (162' 2"). He was slightly edged in the Hammer (157' 8"), but still placed second overall. Freshman Anthony McCullough rounded out the top finishes in the throws arena with a fourth place showing in the Javelin (163' 4").

Sophomore Kyle Reden got the job done in the 1500 M (3:54.48) by snapping the tape. He also contributed to a first place finishing 4 x 400 M Relay (3:21.77) team. He was joined by freshman Mekhi Gilmore, sophomore Joshua Hornsby and freshman Elijah Davis.

Hornsby parlayed his efforts into a first-place finish in the 110 M Hurdles (14.17) to earn his second gold medal of the meet.

Sophomore Darius Hill paced the field for the second-consecutive week by winning the High Jump (6' 8.75").

Sophomore Gavyn Condit earned the silver medal in the 10,000 M (31:11.60), while Ernesto Ruiz followed with a fourth-place finish in the 10,000 M (31:24.88).

Sophomore Imari Coats earned a podium finish with a bronze medal mark in the 110 M Hurdles (15.16), while Charlie Ruiz landed in the top-five in the 400 M (50.08).
