Tigers Take Fourth at State Championship
Riverside City College took fourth overall with 248 points at the 3C2A State Championship and saw multiple medalist finishes Saturday.
Two Tigers medaled in the 100-yard freestyle with Yousef Nahali grabbing third in 45.53 seconds, while Zekiah Serrano took sixth with a time of 45.93 seconds. Lennon Franklin also competed in the 100 free, clocking in at 47.76 seconds.
Gerardo Garcia grabbed a medal in the 200-yard butterfly after finishing eighth in 1:59.69.
In the final event of the meet, Riverside's 400-yard free relay team battled but came up just short of a state championship. The Tigers took second with a time of 3:02.36, just one second off first place Orange Coast College.
