Riverside City College battled No. 7-ranked Long Beach City College Monday afternoon but came up short in a 3-0 loss.
The Tigers drop to 2-10 on the year, while the Vikings improve to 10-2 overall.
Alysse Flores went 2-for-3 for the Tigers, who also got a hit from Jocelyn Romero.
The Vikings scored all three runs in the top of the fourth. Romero led the bottom half of the inning with a base hit to center field but was left stranded.
RCC kept battling and looked to rally in the seventh when Flores singled with one out, but Long Beach grabbed the third out before Riverside could keep the rally going.
The Tigers turn right around to host Southwestern College on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
