The 2015-16 season will have Nate Hass return for his third season in his second stint as assistant coach of the Riverside City College (RCC) men's water polo program.

Coach Hass joined the Tigers’ aquatics staff in 2000 as an assistant coach.  After moving from assistant to head coach for men’s water polo in 2003, Hass spent ten years at the helm of one of the state’s premier water polo programs. In the fall of 2013, Coach Hass returned as the assistant coach of RCC men’s water polo.

During his ten years at RCC's head coach, Hass had eight of them with his team ranked in the state top ten, with eight regional playoff berths and three of those culminating with a state championships appearance.

With over 35 years of coaching experience, Coach Hass has achieved a remarkable number of achievements.  As the head water polo coach at Jurupa Valley High School, Coach Hass posted a record of 225-88 while his swim program had a dual meet record of 197-37. Combined, the two programs had 20 undefeated league seasons. He produced 16 All-America honorees between water polo and swimming, one national high school record holder, three CIF individual champions, three CIF Players of the Year in water polo, two CIF Swimmers of the Year, and countless All-CIF and all-league athletes.

During his time at coaching high school aquatics, Hass won 25 league championships and seven CIF Championships, including three consecutive (1995-97) CIF Championships in men’s water polo. He also was a CIF runner-up three times. He has been selected league coach of the year three times, CIF Coach of the year once and was nominated for CIF State Coach of the Year.
