Several Tigers Set to Transfer to Four-Year Institutions
After winning the 3C2A State Championship, Riverside City College saw 19 student-athletes transfer to four-year institutions to continue their collegiate careers, including several who will compete at the next level.
Adam Torres (Cal State Bakersfield), Isaiah Butler (Cal State Northridge), Devyn Smith (Eastern Washington), and Marcellus Linton (Morgan State) have all committed to compete at the NCAA Division I levels. Jason Allen is set to join the squad at Dillard University (NAIA), while Jack Slavin is staying closer to home at Vanguard University (NAIA).
Jamontay Jackson (La Verne), Deyton Ford (Cal Poly Pomona), Anthony Ruiz (University of Alaska-Anchorage), Rowan Hudson (Cal State L.A.), and Tschaikowsky Brown (Cal State L.A.) will also continue their collegiate athletic careers.
Some Tigers are still deciding on if they want to compete at the next level, like Xavier Harvey (Cal State Long Beach), Jason Sherman (Cal Poly Pomona), Justice Brown (UC San Diego), and Kailil O'Brien (UCLA).
While not competing, several Tigers will transfer to four-year schools, including Daniel Nava (UC Irvine), Damien Spralls (Cal State Fullerton), and Eddie Garcia (Cal State Fullerton). Sergio Cantillano is enlisting in the Air Force.
