
RCC is Ready for the 3C2A State Championship
Riverside City College is set to compete at the 2025 3C2A State Championship at the College of San Mateo on Friday and Saturday. The Tiger men come off a SoCal Championship, while the women finished second, and both are looking to claim the State title.
Men's Track and Field
Riverside has won the championship the last three times the State Meet has been held at San Mateo – in 2009, 2013, and 2019 – and looks to grab their ninth 3C2A championship overall, eighth title under head coach Jim McCarron.
The Tigers have 15 athletes and two relay teams competing at the championship: Marcellus Linton:100-meter, 200-meter; Orlando Collins – 400-meter; Kailil O'Brien – 10K, 3K steeplechase; Leo Valencia – 3K steeplechase; Rowan Hudson – 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles; Tschaikowsky Brown – 110-meter hurdles; Daniel Agbelusi – 400-meter hurdles; Bryson Williamson – high jump; Devyn Smith – triple jump; Justice Brown – shot put, discus; Adam Torres – shot put, hammer; Isaiah Butler – shot put, discus, hammer; Joseph Garcia – discus; Omar Sanchez – discus, hammer; Xavier Harvey – decathlon; 4x100; and 4x400.
Women's Track and Field
The Tigers are looking for their first State Championship under head coach Damien Smith. RCC has nine individuals competing and two relay teams at the State Championship: Catalina Teran – 100-meter, 200-meter, long jump; Kiarah Rivers – 200-meter; Nadia Munoz – 5K, 10K; Joace Warrior – 100-meter hurdles, long jump; Kierstin Marpaung – 100-meter hurdles, triple jump; Taleyah Graves – 400-meter hurdles; Victoria Redd – shot put, discus; Nyah Brown – shot put; Esre Mor – discus, hammer; 4x100; and 4x400.
