Men’s Golf Finishes Top Three in Conference Action

Men’s Golf Finishes Top Three in Conference Action

It was another top-three finish for the Riverside City College men's golf team on Wednesday as they participated in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) play. All but one golfer landed in the 70s highlighted by the efforts of freshman Jordan Medlock.

Medlock paced the Tigers with an even score of 72. The Yucaipa, CA native carded a strong front nine after cruising through the first five holes one under. He followed with a bogey on the sixth, but rebounded with a birdie on the ninth to bring his score to even.

He matched his front nine score despite doubling the 14th hole and bogeying the 15th hole. A birdie on the hole prior kept him in strong contention and he utilized a clutch eagle on the 17th hole to finish the day at an even 72.

Sophomore Jordan Reynoso and freshman Kyle Harford each carded a four over at 76 to round out the top three Riverside finishes.

Sophomore Theoren Delehanty, who tied for first in the season opener, struggled by penciling a five over round. He capped his day with a strong ladder half by finishing two strokes under par throughout the final six holes. However, his round was haunted by two-consecutive double bogeys on the 11th and 12th holes.

Freshman Jordan Medlock owned the lone score outside of the 70s with an eight over 80.

Riverside will continue action at home on Monday, April 26 at the Victoria Country Club at 11 a.m.
