DeHart Places First in Final Regular-Season Conference Round

The Riverside City College golf team hit the links at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action hosted by Saddleback College. The Tigers were led by freshman Ryan DeHart who carded a field-pacing 70 which went for two-under.

As a team, Riverside placed fifth with an overall stoke count of 398 in their final OEC regular season round prior. DeHart paced the pack for his first individual win of the season. He finished his front nine two under after etching birdies on the first and eighth hole to finish one-under. He bettered his front-nine efforts by holing a trio of birdies to finished with a two-under score of 70, thus earning the gold.

Freshman Conner Weissburg followed with a 79. He performed well on the front nine highlighted by four birdies, but struggled on the back nine. Sophomore Michael Herrera followed with an 81, while sophomore Brian Nielsen backed him with an 82.

The Tigers (19-21) currently sit in third place and will enter into the OEC Championships on Monday, April 30th at the Los Serranos Golf Course.
