Riverside Battles in Tough OEC Contest

Riverside City College made its return home on Friday night and battled, but couldn't overcome No. 2-ranked Fullerton College in an 80-64 loss.

The Tigers slip to 9-7 on the year and 1-1 in Orange Empire Conference action, while the Hornets improve to 15-1 overall, 2-0 in conference.

Three Tigers finished the night in double figures, with one more just on the cusp. Kollen Murphy led RCC with 21 points (7-for-14), while Kavon Ray followed with 13 points (5-for-10). PJ Pounds chipped in 11 points (5-for-9) and Jabari Harris finished with nine points (3-for-7).

Harris led Riverside's rebounding effort with eight boards, while Tylon Williams finished with four steals in the game.

RCC looks to bounce back on the road, heading to No. 20-ranked Saddleback College on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. tip.
