Tigers Send One Team to Day 2 of OEC Pairs Championship

Riverside City College has one team still vying for a spot in the SoCal Regional after the first day of the Orange Empire Conference Pairs Championship.

Kyra Myers and Riley Chaffee picked up a 21-16, 21-10 victory in the Round of 32 to advance to the Sweet 16, where they fell 21-2, 21-16 to move to the consolation bracket. 

Abigail Oaks and Alyssa Bishop dropped a close 21-18, 21-18 battle in the Round of 32, while Keira Isgar and Danna De Leon took their match to three sets (19-21, 21-12, 15-12) in the Round of 32. Harmony Kniss and Mia Monge lost their play-in game 21-18, 21-14.

Myers and Chaffee compete again on Friday, needing two wins to pick up one of the last two seeds for the 3C2A SoCal Regional.
