Bio

Hector Rabago enters is seventh season with Riverside City College as an assistant baseball coach. He works primarily with hitters, infielders, and catchers. 

Rabago has been a defensive, catching, and assistant hitting coach in parts of 6 seasons with the New York Yankees (2014-2019). In 2017, he was a part of the staff that lead the Charleston Riverdogs to the second half Southern Division Champions. His teams also placed 1st in their division in 2014 and 2015. From 2014-2016, he helped guide his teams to place in the top 4 in fielding percentages.

Rabago was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 18th Round of the 2009 first year player draft, where he played five seasons as a catcher and infielder. He was a part of the New York Penn League Champions in 2009. He played his collegiate years at the University of Southern California (2007-2009). Rabago was a two-year starter as an infielder and catcher. Additionally, he made 25 relief appearances on the mound during his freshmen and sophomore seasons. Rabago graduated from University of Southern California with a degree in Sociology. 

He is an alumnus of Riverside Poly High School (2003-2006). In 2006, he was all Ivy League Co-MVP and named to the All-CIF team. Rabago was named 2005 L.A. Times Player of the Year for the Inland Empire, All-CIF, and all Ivy League MVP. 

He and his wife Jordan reside in Riverside with their two kids.
