Sarah Hollis Signs National Letter of Intent

The Riverside City College women's cross country team recently reached the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) State Championships after placing seventh in the Southern California Regionals and earning their fourth-consecutive Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title. In the midst of the excitement, sophomore standout Sarah Hollis (Hemet, CA) signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attended California State University – Fullerton starting the Fall of 2018.

Hollis has been a staple for the Tigers from day one. She was recently named the OEC Female Runner of the Year after placing first at the conference championships late last month by a landslide. She followed up her performance with a second-place finished at the Southern California Regionals and was the highest-finishing OEC competitor.

October was a strong month for Hollis as she was also named the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) October Female Athlete of the Month voted on by all student-athlete team representatives. She earned the nod after finishing on the podium in seven-consecutive meets. She looks to follow up her SoCal performance with a podium finish at the state championships.
