Caelan Loroff Signs with Cal Baptist

The Riverside City College women's water polo team continues to advance its student-athletes to the next level after continue a tradition of winning in the 2018 campaign. Sophomore attacker Caelan Loroff is the latest addition to the transfer list as she signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend California Baptist University.

Loroff was a mainstay in the lineup for the Tigers as she played in 58 games. She netted 46 goals throughout her career to go along with 52 assists, 48 steals and 21 drawn ejections. In 2018, she experienced a breakout year and set career highs in goals (29), assists (27), steals (25) and drawn ejections (13).

In 2018, she scored at least one goal in 19 games. She held a six-game scoring streak where she scored a total of 11 goals and scored two or more goals in three contests. In the first five games of the season, she recorded a total of 10 steals with a season-high four steal coming in a game against American River. She also dished out three assists on two separate occasions – one coming in a victory over Fullerton. In that Fullerton contest, she netted two goals, dished out two assists and pocketed three steals.

Loroff is not only a water polo star, but she participates in swimming and diving. In their season debut, she competed in the 50 Free, 100 Free and 200 Free. She placed second in the 200 Free with a time of 2:07.36.
