Hannah McCarley Inks NLI with SDSU

The Riverside City College women's water polo team has been a staple in the California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) for countless years. After another strong season, the Tigers continue to transfer quality student-athletes to four year universities with ease. Sophomore goalkeeper Hannah McCarley is the newest member on the transfer list as she recently inked her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend Division I San Diego State University.

McCarley was a dominant force between the pipes for the Tigers for the past two seasons. Throughout her two-year career, McCarley played in 49 games and recorded 463 saves leading to a 64.6 winning percentage and a 36-13 overall record. She was no stranger to incredible performances as she recorded 26 double digit save games in her career. She recorded a career-high 26 saves in a victory over Fullerton this season.

She was named the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) Co-Most Valuable Player to cap her career. In 2017, she was crowned a First-Team All-American, First-Team All-Southern California, and First-Team All-Conference award winner.

She joins an Aztec team, who are members of the Mountain West Conference, who finished one game below .500 last season, but finished with a conference record of 5-2. They placed third in the Gold Coast Championship last season.
