Dafne Garcia Inks NLI to CSUN

Yet another dream has been made for a student-athlete at Riverside City College. Sophomore Dafne Garcia (Mexico City, NM) of the women's water polo team inked her National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will call the California State University Northridge Matadors' pool her home pond come the fall of 2018.

Garcia is the second RCC women's water polo player to sign with CSUN as sophomore Josceline Godinez singed her NLI to attend the four-year university earlier this year.

Garcia was named the All-Southern California Second-Team after accumulating strong numbers throughout the entire season. She led her squad in steals with 64 and at one point paced the state in the category. Furthermore, she fired home 31 goals and dished out 31 assists.

She recorded three or more steals in 13 contests highlighted by an eight steal game against Santa Barbara in the third to last contest of the season. Additionally, she scored in 18 contests and began the season on a five-game scoring streak.
