Hannah McCarley Recognized Statewide by CCCSIA

After being named the Student-Athlete Advisory Council September Female Athlete of the Month, freshman goalkeeper Hannah McCarley (Riverside, CA) continues to make waves – this time at the state level. She has been named the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) Female Athlete of the Month for the month of September following her phenomenal start to the season.

McCarley has helmed an incredible start to the women's water polo season as she currently sits with 16 wins and 152 total saves complimented by a saves percentage of 69.4. Currently, her saves mark places her fifth overall in the state, while her saves percentages ranks eighth in the state.

At the time of nomination, McCarley paced the state in wins and was second overall in saves with 116. She had only fell victim to a loss in one contest that saw San Joaquin Delta defeated her in double-overtime to prove it takes more than four quarters to hand her a loss. She had also not allowed a team to score more than nine goals which is still stands.

McCarley and the Tigers look to make a push for the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title with one conference game remaining. They will take part in the Long Beach Tournament beginning Friday, October 20th.
