Saddleback No Match for Women’s Water Polo in Second Conference Win

The Riverside City College women's water polo team hit the road for its second Orange Empire Conference (OEC) matchup of the season on Wednesday night as they took on the Saddleback College Gauchos. The Tigers dominated the entire contest highlighted by a seven goal outburst in the third quarter en route to a commanding 14-1 victory.

Freshman center Kate Fox (Murrieta, CA) paced the pack with a game-high six netters which is a career-high clip. Fox has scored in each game this seasons and tops her four-score effort in a win against Allan Hancock earlier this month. She also added a pair of assists in the process. Fox moves up to sixth in the OEC in goals with a total mark of 22.

Sophomore driver Anay Ramirez (Riverside, CA) backed her with three goals. She has scored in all but two games this season. Sophomore attacker Megan Upton (Corona, CA) lead the team in assists with three.

Freshman goalkeeper Hannah McCarley (Riverside, CA) boasts an undefeated record between that pipes after playing in two quarters and hauling in three saves. Sophomore goalkeeper Breanna Ortiz (Fontana, CA) saw some time between the posts and recorded a team-high for stops.
