Emily Martin Scores Seven Goals as Riverside Routs Host Orange Coast, 18-9, Wednesday

COSTA MESA -- Powered by a individual seven-goal outburst, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's water polo squad remained undefeated in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) action with an 18-9 OEC win over the host Orange Coast College (OCC) Pirates Wednesday (Sept. 28).

Riverside City (10-0 overall, 2-0) led, 5-4, at the end of the first quarter, 11-6 at halftime and 15-7 heading into the final stanza. RCC is one of three undefeated teams in the state with at least ten decisions.

Sophomore two-meter offense player Emily Martin (Yucaipa / Yucaipa HS '15) popped in seven, count 'em, seven goals to pace the RCC offense. Nine other Tigers scored in the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Ariana Olmos (Redlands / Redlands East Valley HS '15) recoded 11 saves and three assists for RCC. 

Riverside will visit Citrus College in Glendora on Thursday, Sept. 29, for games against the host Owls at 9 a.m. and San Joaquin Delta College at 1 p.m.
