RCC Women Water Poloists Remain Undefeated in 24-2 OEC Win at Santa Ana Wednesday

SANTA ANA -- Leading from start to finish, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's water polo squad rolled to a 24-2 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) win over the host Santa Ana College (SAC) Dons Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 24).

Riverside (10-0 overall, 2-0 OEC), the 2013 state tournament runner-up, jumped out to a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers led, 15-1, at halftime, and 22-1 after three periods.

The Tigers were led by sophomore Nikki Bell (M.L. King '13) and frosh Rachel Alder (Centerville, UT / Viewmont '14) with three goals apiece while 13 other Tigers scored in the contest.

Santa Ana fell to 0-4 overall, 0-2 in OEC action.

With the win, Riverside will be idle for a week until next Wednesday, Oct. 1, when it visits the Orange Coast College (OCC) Pirates in a 4 p.m. OEC start.
