Women's Water Polo Advance to the State Championship Game

The RCC Women's Water Polo team was in action today in the CCCAA State Championships hosted by Riverside City College.  RCC the #2 seed from the South faced off with American River the # 1 seed from the North.  It was all Tigers early as the RCC jumped out to a 5-0 first quarter.  The Tigers took a 9-0 lead into half before cruising to a 10-2 final.  The Tigers were led by sophomore Megan Geurts and freshman Alia McMorris each with 3 goals.  Nikki Bell added 2 goals and Emmie Betz and Brandi Carroll each chipped in a goal.  Katia Montoya had 10 saves in goal.
 
With the win the Tigers will advance to the State Championship game tomorrow at 1:15pm.  The Tigers are now 28-4 on the season
