Tigers Drop Big Cat Battle

Riverside City College hit the road for its final regular season away game but fell in three sets to Saddleback College (25-20, 25-14, 25-14).

The Tigers slip to 15-9 on the year and 9-5 in the Orange Empire Conference, while the Bobcats improve to 17-4 overall, 13-1 in conference.

RCC struggled to find its rhythm offensively and only finished with 20 kills in the match on a .050 team hitting percentage. Jaeda Whitmire was a bright spot for the Tigers, posting seven kills on a .412 clip. Defensively, Riley Chaffee led Riverside with 10 digs.

The Tigers return home for a 6 p.m. matchup Friday against Golden West.
