RIVERSIDE - A balanced attack and strong defensive effort led 23rd-ranked Riverside to a three-set sweep of visiting Santiago Canyon on Wednesday night.

Santiago Canyon again took the lead early in set two, leading by as many as eight points midway through the frame, but the Tigers once again roared back and used an 8-2 run to earn the 25-21 set two win and pull within one set of the sweep.
The third set was all RCC as the Tigers put down 11 kills with just three errors on 25 swings to earn the 25-13 win to clinch the sweep.
Individually, Riverside was led by 15 kills from Kilyn Hayes. Riley Chaffee and Alyssa Bishop put up 18 and 15 assists respectively while Keira Isgar finished with a team-high 10 digs. Dani Luna led the blocking attack, contributing on five blocks on the night.
