Women’ Volleyball Snaps Losing Steak, Defeats SBVC in Three Sets

It only took three strong sets for the Riverside City College women's volleyball to snap their three-game losing streak. Riverside cruised to a match sweep over San Bernardino by the final set score of 25-14, 25-20 and 25-18.

In was an evenly spread attack on offensive with no Tigers stretching into double-digit kill territory. Sophomore Maggie Aburto paved the way by hammering home nine kills. She added 11 digs and a pair of blocks as well.

Freshman Nine Peay followed with eight kills and two block assists, while freshman Lanah Bergen added hammered home five kills.

Freshman Esmeralda Aguilar led the charge at the net with three blocks to go along with a trio of kills. Freshman Montana Gibson chipped in two blocks.

Freshman Audry Elias led the charge as the setter leading to 25 assists and three service aces. She added eight digs in the process.
