Women’s Volleyball Falls to No. 19 Orange Coast in Three Sets

The Riverside City College women's volleyball team hosted a tough Orange Empire Conference (OEC) opponent in the form of the No. 19 Orange Coast College Pirates this Wednesday evening at home. The Tigers fell to the Pirates in three straight sets with the scores reading 25-16, 25-15, and 25-16.

The Tigers were held to just a .046 hitting percentage with freshman outside hitter Kiara Oregon (Riverside, CA) leading the way with five kills. Freshman middle Madison Bogh (Highland, CA) backed her with four kills.

Freshman libero Natalie Escher (Redlands, CA) led the defensive charge with 11 digs, while freshman setter Taylor Gardner (Colton, CA) backed her with nine digs. Gardner added 12 assists as well.

Riverside (6-5, 1-2 OEC) looks to rebound in a conference match up against the Golden West College Rustler this Friday, September 29th at home at 6 p.m.
