The Tigers upend Santa Ana in three sets

RIVERSIDE (9-28-2012) – Riverside (6-2, 1-0 OEC) continued their dominance over Santa Ana on Friday night in their Orange Empire Conference opener. RCC won the first set quickly (25-13), yet Santa Ana fought back hard to give the Tigers a scare during the second set. The Dons picked up their tempo during the second game and surprised some of the new arrivals on RCC. Despite the Dons making the second set close, the Tigers still pulled away in a tight 26-24 win in that set. In the third set, the Tigers easily won 25-11. The Tigers will travel up the 91 freeway and play Cypress on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
