Tigers Open the Year at Moorpark Invite

Riverside City College got the 2025 season underway Thursday and Friday at the Moorpark Season Opener Invite and saw many wins on the day.

Nadia Munoz won the 1500-meter run with a time of five minutes, 11.08 seconds, while Citlaly Ruiz took third (5:21.02) and Jaiden Kelly finished fourth (5:25.63).

Kierstin Marpaung won the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.31 seconds and Joace Warrior took second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.22 seconds.

Taleyah Graves won her heat in the 300-meter race, clocking in at 42.51 seconds, and finished second in her 200-meter heat (26.67).

The Tigers' 4x400 relay team of Kayla Sykes, Kiarah Rivers, Zoriada Vega and Graves won the event in 4:14.84.

Riverside swept the top three spots in the shot put with Nyah Brown posting a winning throw of 11.42 meters. Skylar Svidergol followed at 10.91 meters, while Victoria Redd took third with a toss of 10.60 meters. Redd won the discus with a mark of 39.86 meters, while

Esra Mor took second with a hurl of 33.75 meters. Mor also took second in the hammer with a throw of 37.35 meters.

The Tigers come home to host the RCC Early Bird Meet on Friday, February 7.
