RCC's Top Doubles Team Earns ITA All-American Honors
Riverside City College's Emily Thieme and Janine Kremling were named Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Americans after a solid season.
The criteria for ITA All-American recognition are finishing in the Top Ten of the final ITA National Singles Rankings and Top Five in the final ITA Doubles Rankings.
Thieme and Kremling capped a great season with a trip to the 3C2A State Championship, coming up just short of the trophy. The duo opened the tournament with a first-round bye before dominating their next three rounds to advance to the quarterfinals. Thieme and Kremling battled through an overtime victory in the semifinals to earn a spot in the championship bout but fell in the finale to finish the tournament with a 6-1 record at the State Championship.
