Tigers Secure OEC Championship With Sweep Over Bobcats

In its final road trip of the regular season, Riverside City College swept Saddleback College 9-0, securing a piece of the Orange Empire Conference Championship in the process.

The Tigers improve to 15-1 overall and 8-1 in conference, while the Bobcats slip to 5-8 on the year, 4-4 in the OEC.

Riverside opened strong with all three doubles winning their matches.

In singles action, Janine Kremling battled for a 2-1 victory in the number one spot and Monica Carrillo came from behind to win her match 2-1. Meanwhile, Madison Reynoso, Kaden Richards, Alexandra Livingston and Bridget Bradbury each grabbed 2-0 victories to secure the sweep for the Tigers.

RCC turns right around to host a strong Glendale College squad – who is coasting a 10-match winning streak – at 2 p.m.
