Riverside Edges Host Cypress, 5-4, Thursday

CYPRESS -- Shannon Harris won at No. 6 singles and then teamed with Ashley Bauman at No. 3 doubles to help the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's tennis team edge the host Cypress College Chargers, 5-4, in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) match Thursday afternoon (Mar. 17).

Harris, who is pictured, is a sophomore from Corona (Santiago HS), while Bauman is a frosh from Riverside (Arlington HS).

With the win, Riverside is 8-7 overall, 2-5 OEC. Cypress is 3-8 overall, 0-7 OEC.

Riverside will return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 22, when it hosts the Imperial Valley College (IVC) Arabs in a non-conference match beginning at 2 p.m.
