
RCC Gets New Season Underway
Riverside City College opened the 2025 season at home with the RCC Sprint, with multiple Tigers posting wins.
Isadora Taylor won the 100-yard butterfly in one minute, 7.57 seconds, followed by Yosra Elseifi (1:09.09). Taylor also won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:27.79 and the 50-yard butterfly in 30.30 seconds.
Eilsefi won the 100-yard free with the only time under a minute (59.29).
Kaia Boone edged out her competition in the 50-yard breast with a time of 32.87 seconds and took first in the 50-yard free, touching the wall in 26.61 seconds. Boone also won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.89).
It was a tight race between Tigers in the 100-yard backstroke as Audra Lacey (1:10.30) just edged out her teammate Sofia Mather (1:10.99) by .69 seconds. Lacey also won the 50-yard back in 33.75 seconds.
Clare Baty won the 200-yard free in 2:10.80
The Tigers head to the Golden West Invitational on Feb. 21 before getting Orange Empire Conference action underway the following week.
