Dunkerson Wins Three-meter Diving State Crown, Finishes Second in One-meter Diving at State Championships

MONTEREY PARK -- Having an individual win one diving competition and finish second in the other, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's swimming and diving team finished in 18th place at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at East Los Angeles College's indoor natatorium over the weekend (April 30-May 2).

Frosh Emily Dunkerson placed second (201.65 points) in the one-meter diving competition during action on day one. On day two, Dunkerson won (235.00 points) the three-meter diving competition.

Riverside compiled 54 points. Santa Rosa JC won the women's state championship (424.5 points), followed by second-place Orange Coast College (399.5), third-place Diablo Valley College (364), and fourth-place Golden West College (328.5).
