Tigers Throttle the other Eight Teams to win the Golden West Sprint Meet Invitational

HUNTINGTON BEACH -- The Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's swimming and diving team cruised to victory at the Golden West Sprint Meet Invitational Friday afternoon (Feb. 21) with a total of 1,435 points.

As reported by RCC women's swimming and diving head coach Doug Finfrock, the Tigers looked strong as Keonni Obert and Katy Holmes finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, in the 100-yard backstroke. Brandi Carroll and Celena Peters, respectively, also finished 1st and 2nd in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyles. Holmes took the 200 IM with a time of 2:20.96 and Tiffanie Perez won the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 28.38.

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, February 28th at Fullerton College.
