Dons Down Tigers

Riverside City College put together a solid fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to overcome an 86-66 loss to Santa Ana College Thursday night.

The Tigers drop to 11-16 on the year, 2-9 in Orange Empire Conference action, while the Dons improve to 19-8 overall, 6-5 in conference.

Three Tigers did most of the scoring, led by N'Dya Parks with 24 points (9-for-20). Nave'ah Pina followed with 19 points (7-for-17), while Talia Washington added 15 points (5-for-10).

Riverside outscored SAC 23-to-17 in the final 10 minutes of action, but it wasn't enough to turn the game around as the Dons secured the 86-66 victory.

The Tigers close out the year at Saddleback College next Friday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m.
