Riverside Boat Races Golden West

After a tough game against one of the state's best competitors, the Riverside City College women's basketball team looked to etch another game in the win column in an Orange Empire Conference (OEC) showdown against the Golden West College Rustlers. The Tigers dropped a season-high 89 points in a dominant 46-point victory while keeping the Rustlers winless in conference play.

Riverside was money from the floor as they shot 55.4 percent with 38 buckets coming in the paint. They forced 24 Rustler turnovers and transformed them into 37 points.

They had production up and down the lineup with five players landing in double-digit figures. Sophomore point guard Shannon Jordan paced the pack with 14 points on a 6-for-9 night shooting. She missed her season-high mark by one point and has landed in double-digit scoring in two of her last three outings.

Freshman guard N'Dya Parks continued her tear on the offensive front by bucketing 13 points that featured three triples. She added four steals and four assists in the process. Freshman guard Janara Williams earned her second-consecutive start and finished with 11 points, while freshman guard Mikayla Roberts flushed 10 points for her 11th double-digit finish.

Sophomore guard Ashley Smith led the bench brigade by inking 10 points on a impeccable 4-for-4 night shooting. She added a pair of free throws as well. Sophomore tandem Mya Clark and Ayanna Bourgeios combined for 12 points with each of them dropping six points.
