Men’s Water Polo Routes Fullerton in Conference Play

It was all Riverside on Wednesday night as they played host to the Fullerton College Hornets in their final regular season conference home game of the year. The Tigers pounded the Hornets with a heavy dose of offense and a solid defensive showing leading to a 23-1 win.

The Tiger offense was potent with 11 different players scoring at least one goal. Leading the charge was sophomore Louis Grandi who netted five goals and assisted on three. Sophomore Reese Starkey followed with four goals, which is one shy of his season high mark.

Sophomore Tommy Dempsey followed with three goals and added two assists, while freshman tandem Connor Lynton and Kyle Lambeth found the back of the net two times each. Lambeth recorded two assists as well.

Sophomore Tanner Childers fired home a pair of scores to get in on the action while freshman Nathan Dulkis, Gerardo Garcia, Nathan Millan, Ryland Cummings and Kevin Mora all hummed home a score.

Sophomore tandem Seth Zarn and Jesus Lopez split time between the pipes and allowed one goal. The goal squeaked past Lopez in the third quarter. Zarn earned the win after pocketing one save.
