Golden West Tournament
The RCC men's water polo team played in the first day of the Golden West College Tournament on Friday; a tournament that features all ten of the top ranked teams in the State.
In the first game, the Riverside Tigers played a back and forth, highly competitive match with San Joaquin Delta College that resulted in an 8-7 victory for RCC. Sophomore Reese Vardayou came up big for the Tigers with 3 goals and Sophomore Kelly Stevens played the facilitator with 4 assists.
In the second game of the day, RCC fell to the #3 State Ranked Diablo Valley College by a score of 13-7. Reese Vardayou led, once again, with 4 goals and 2 drawn ejections.
The RCC men record is now 12-6; 3-1 in conference.
