Tigers Survive a Close Game Against Conference Opponent

The Riverside City College men's water polo team survived a close game against a conference opponent, Santa Ana College, on Wednesday in an Orange Empire Conference match held at the Riverside Aquatic Center. After each team ended the first period with 1 goal apiece, the Tigers offense continued to struggle throughout the game as they entered the 4th quarter trailing the Santa Ana College Dons, 2-3. However, the Riverside men managed to find the back of the net four times in the final period en route to 6-5 conference win.

In the game, RCC was led by Sophomore Reese Verdayou, with 2 goals and 3 steals. In the goal, Sophomore Nicho Morabito held the Don's to only five goals while collecting 10 saves.

With the win, the Tigers improve their record to 9-4; 2-1 in Conference.
