Willis Takes Fourth at SoCal Championship

Riverside City College's Samuel Willis took fourth at the 3C2A SoCal Decathlon Championship with his best performance to date, automatically qualifying to compete at the 3C2A State Championship.

Willis finished with a personal-best 5932 points after placing in the top three in four events, including first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.18 seconds. He took second in the shot put with a throw of 11.35 meters and grabbed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.38 meters and in the pole vault with a mark of 4.20 meters.

Xavier Harvey finished in 11th with 4976 points and Eddie Carrillo-Flores posted a score of 3983.
