Tigers Sweep Season Series against Saddleback

The Riverside City College men's tennis team hosted the Saddleback College Bobcats at home on Thursday afternoon and were on the prowl for the season sweep. Riverside had no issues highlighted by a dominant doubles performance leading to an 8-1 win.

The dynamic brother duo in freshman Carlos Rullan and Rafael Rullan set the tone early as they dominated their doubles match, 8-1. Freshman duo Felicien Adam and Luca Braan followed with an 8-4 win at the number two slot, while freshman tandem Anat Bhika and Maurice Nolan sealed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 win as well.

Riverside won five of the six singles matches with four of them being settles in straight sets.

Nolan had one of the two three-set matches and came out on top after a third set tie breaker ending at 10-7. He dropped the first set, 3-6, but earned a second-set win at 7-6 (5).

R. Rullan was tabbed the number two singles and earned a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Adam earned a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory.

C. Rullan crusied to a 6-1, 6-1 win as the number four singles player, while Bhika settled the sixth singles position with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
